Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do I really need beard oil?
If you’re serious about keeping your beard comfortable and looking good, yes. Beard oil hydrates your skin, softens your beard, and prevents the dreaded itch and flakes. Without it, beards tend to get dry, scruffy, and uncomfortable fast.

Will this beard oil make my beard greasy?
Not if it’s made right (ours is) and used in the right amount. A few drops are all you need. Good beard oil (like this one) absorbs quickly, leaving your beard soft and healthy—not shiny like you dipped it in fryer grease.

How much should I use?
For shorter beards, start with a dime sized portion in the palm of your hand. For longer beards, adjust accordingly.

Can I use it on short beards or stubble?
Definitely. In fact, that’s when it helps the most. Beard oil soothes the itchy, irritated skin you get in the first couple of weeks of growing a beard. Even with stubble, it makes your skin feel better and keeps flakes away.

What about long beards?
Beard oil is even more important for longer beards. It keeps the hair hydrated, tames flyaways, and makes sure your beard doesn’t feel rough or wiry. Plus, it nourishes the skin underneath, which gets harder to reach as your beard grows.

How often should I use it?
Most guys use beard oil once a day—usually in the morning after a shower. If your beard feels extra dry, you can apply it again in the evening.

Does it really help with beard itch?
Yes. That’s one of the main reasons guys use it. Beard oil hydrates the skin under your beard, which is what stops the itch in its tracks.

Will the scent be strong?
Not with Bearded Grizzly Co. oils. The scent is subtle and natural—something you’ll notice while applying, but it won’t follow you around all day. The only person who’s going to notice it is someone close enough to kiss you.

Is beard oil the same as beard balm?
Nope. Beard oil is for hydration and conditioning, while beard balm is more for styling and hold. A lot of guys use both, but if you’re only picking one, beard oil should be your go-to.
